Learning Objectives for Summer reading:
The primary goal of Wildcat Wednesday storytime with Mrs. Wurts is to facilitate and promote improved reading and learning skills in our students.
To promote and foster a continued love of reading and literature in our Whitman Wildcats!
To share a summer reading option for students while encouraging reading throughout the summer.
Research shows that reading during the summer helps kids minimize the “summer slide” (the drop-off in reading skills that non-summer readers experience at the start of a new school year).
